Ayan Mukherji’s next directorial to be shot entirely in India; has been pushed ahead following non-availability of dates. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the lead jodi of Ayan Mukerji’s superhero flick, tentatively-titled Dragon, were all smiles as they posed with the director at his Durga Puja pandal in suburban Mumbai.
While Alia turned up on Saturday, dressed in a festive salwarkameez, and hung out with her host, RK sauntered in the following day with his Jagga Jasoos director, Anurag Basu and aunt, Reema Jain. The trio will kick off the film in Mumbai in May 2017.According to a source close to the development, the entire film will be shot in India since it tells the story of a desi superhero. “There will be no schedules abroad, and the first schedule will extend from May to June. Ranbir’s hands emit fire, that’s his super power. It is still not known if Alia’s character will be a super girl too. The buzz is untrue,” the source informs, pointing out that Ayan is still tweaking his script.Buzz is, Dragon which was to kick off early next year has been delayed by a few months due to scheduling conflicts — RK begins shooting for Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic in January, for which he has been losing a lot of weight, while Alia is set to wrap up Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya by the beginning of 2017.
