Over 20 endorsement deals await the return of the ‘lucky mascot’ who has been filming in France since April.

Following back-to-back hits with Dil Dhadakne Do and BajiraoMastani, Ranveer Singh’s celebrity stock has risen. And it’s not just the 30-year-old actor’s fans that are missing him as he films his upcoming romance-drama opposite Vaani Kapoor in France. Turns out, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’sPeshwa was signed on for at least 12 brand endorsements with another dozen eager to have him on board. “He’s our lucky mascot. His powerhouse performances rake in the moolah and works wonders for our brands. He’s the new youth icon,” says a representative of a brand Ranveer currently endorses.Owing to his bald look for Bajirao, the actor had been unable to sign ad deals for over a year but ever since the film struck gold at the box office following its December 2015 release, garnering praise and prizes for him, Ranveer has been on a signing spree. He was first booked by an Indian car brand for the launch of their new sedan. He had also garnered praise for acing the Gujrati accent, among others, for the quirky sketches he performed for a popular travel booking website. He also featured in commercials alongside Alia Bhatt for the brand. More recently, Ranveer signed on with a Chinese smartphone brand, a new entrant in the Indian market. Meanwhile, he continues to endorse a leading sports and clothing brand and a toothpaste brand .numbers indicate that the smartphone brand has registered considerable growth across India, showing spectacular increase in demand within a short span of time. Additionally, his engagement with and commitment to advertisements in a short span of time has bagged him a high rating from the online rating site, Agency Faqs.”Ranveer broke the rules and was applauded for his choices when he decided to endorse a condom brand, becoming one of the first A-listers to do so,” adds the insider. The actor who returns to the Bay by July-end will dive into shoots for approximately ten more brands, which have already queued up for his dates.
