Saffola Masala Oats Chicken Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast X 2 fillets each, pounded gently
  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp dried herbs
  • 1 tbsp Saffola oil
  • 1 packet Saffola Masala Oats

 

Green beans

 

  • 1 tsp Saffola oil
  • 8-10 green beans, halved
  • 4 cloves finely chopped garlic
  • 2 finely chopped spring onions, with greens
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh herbs to top

Preparation

Chicken Steak

 

  • Mix the ginger-garlic, red chili flakes, dried herbs, lime juice and oil in a large bowl. Add salt to taste
  • Place fillets in bowl and rub in the mix well. Leave for 15-30 minutes, or even overnight
  • Heat 1 tbsp saffola oil in a heavy bottom non stick pan
  • Spread half the masala oats in a flat platter, and dip one fillet into it, turning to coat both sides then dip second fillet
  • Repeat with remaining oats and remaining fillets
  • Gently transfer fillets into pan, and cover and cook on simmer for about 7-8 minutes until golden brown. Turn and repeat
  • Once cooked, rest for 5 minutes on serving plates while making the beans

 

Green beans

 

  • Microwave bans for 2 minutes until still crisp.{Don’t overcook}
  • Clean pan with kitchen towel, and add 1 tbsp oil
  • Add the garlic and spring onions, saute for 30 seconds. Then add beans and salt to taste and stir fry on high for 2-3 minutes
  • Top the cooked fillets with green beans, some fresh herbs and serve immediately
