Tiger Shroff will shoot in Mumbai’s Teen Batti area, where his dad Jackie lived before he was catapulted into stardom, for his next, Munna Michael, in which he plays aMichael Jackson fan and an aspiring dancer. Now, we hear of a change in plan after the film’s team realised that the basti’s bylanes are too narrow to set up cameras. So Teen Batti will now be recreated on a set in a studio. Tiger will, however, film certain scenes in the one-room apartment where his Hero dad spent his formative years.
A source informed Mirror that the team has shot two songs and some action sequences in the first 13-day schedule that wrapped up on Wednesday in Mumbai. The Teen Batti schedule will mostly take place towards the year-end as it requires a lot of prep.Tiger will shoot in Jackie’s old house, but everything that requires a lot of movement and a large crew will be shot on the set,” added the source.Director Sabbir Khan told Mirror that they are currently seeking permission to shoot in Teen Batti. “We’re trying to keep things as authentic as possible. The locals are aware about the Shroff connection with the place and have been very co-operative,” he exulted.
